Now that you are starting to feel lovely and relaxed from your day, get yourself comfy for our afternoon workshop.
You will need a pen, paper and an open mind.
Thinking back to your time this morning looking at the practice of mindfulness and the Eightfold Path, you are going to look at how you can create more of those wonderful benefits in your life.
There may be elements of this exercise that you find challenging or you are resistant to. Don’t worry, that is part of the practice! Notice that resistance and see if you can find that middle ground to work with it, not against it.
This workshop will be a reflective practise. All you need to do is simply answer the questions without any judgment and see what comes forth.
Lets begin!
What is one habit you have that you know does not serve you positively?
What conditioned thought practise do you regularly sink into that prevents you from moving forwards?
List three things you love about yourself.
Can you remember the last time you did something selflessly for someone else? What was it?
Does your job bring you joy? List three ways it positively affects others.
How many hours in a week do you practise self-care? How many hours in a day? List three ways you could encourage more actions towards the effort of self-care.
Do you think you could commit to a regular meditation practice? Honestly, what is stopping you?
Looking back at the answers you have given, what actions do you need to put into play to create greater balance in your daily life and cultivate more joy and time for yourself?
